Hey there, I’m CJ.
Although I was raised in Utah, my heart will always belong in Alaska. Photography piqued my interest during junior high and high school, but over time I let the busyness of life get the best of me. In 2015, when things seemed to settle down, I knew something was missing. That’s when I picked up my camera and got back in the game! Which has been a gradual process, if you must know. After spending the summer of 2016 in Alaska for the first time, meeting wonderful people I came across, witnessing the most beautiful scenery, helped me realize how important photography truly is to me.
Having been able to explore the many concepts photography has to offer, and venture out ideas, both on my own and with clients, has been a memorable journey and I’m here to share it with you. No matter what kind of session you’re wanting to book, my goal is to provide the best environment possible. Throughout the process, we’ll get to know each other, calm our nerves, I’ll show you staged poses, and also give a prompt or two to create candid moments, then together we will create the perfect photograph, just for you.
